Lorenzo Spadoni

Born in La Spezia in 1964, married with two children.
Graduated in Electronic Engineering from Milan Polytechnic (Politecnico di Milano).
He began his career with CISE SpA in Segrate, Milan, as a researcher in the field of semi-conductor laser applications.
In 1993, he joined ASM Brescia, rising to the position of Head of Engineering in the Energy Division. He participated in the thermal WtE plant project in Brescia and the combined cycle power plant project in Gissi.
From 2008, following the creation of A2A, he took part in the development of the thermal WtE plant in Acerra.
From 2011 to 2020, with A2A Calore & Servizi (Heat & Services), he worked first as head of development and management of district heating in Brescia, Milan and Bergamo, and then as Managing Director.
From November 2020 to Aprile 2024, he held the post of Managing Director of AEB SpA, an A2A Group multiutility based in the Brianza area and active, through its subsidiaries, in the sale and distribution of electricity and gas, in environmental cleaning services and public lighting.
He has also held the positions of President of AIRU (Associazione Italiana per il Riscaldamento Urbano – Italian Urban Heating Association) and board member of the European Euroheat & Power association.
Since May 2024, he has been head of A2A’s Generation and Trading business unit. The business unit has a workforce of around 1,000 people and handles the Group’s renewable (hydroelectric, photovoltaic and wind) and thermal generation assets, as well as all energy management and trading activities.
