Responsible procurement

Action

  • The distributed economic value (13,564 million) was distributed to various stakeholders: suppliers of goods and services (88 percent), employees (6 percent), providers of venture capital (2 percent), government bodies and communities (2 percent), and shareholders (2 percent). About 9% of the economic value generated was retained by the Group as profits, provisions and amortization.
  • In 2023, the redesign and delivery of training and refresher training for senior figures was completed by the Group's HSEQs, and a community of practice, Life HSEQ, began as part of the overall programs of the HSEQ Professional Family to share and increase HSEQ skills and best practices within the Group.
  • A total of 4,542 hours of health and safety training were provided to employees of third-party companies in 2023.
  • Approximately 8,500 occupational medical examinations and more than 19,000 examinations in compliance with health protocols were carried out in 2023. Physicians also carried out more than 200 inspections at workplaces.
  • Among the initiatives put in place in 2023 to raise safety awareness among employees, the Smart Infrastructures BU held experiential training sessions with workers and supervisors, while an awareness campaign was held at AMSA for all supervisors, aimed at making them aware of their central role in managing safety in the workplace.
  • A total of 12,090 orders were made by A2A in 2023 for supplies, services and work from companies, with a total value of 2,540,587,503 euros. Approximately 96 percent of order value came from transactions with Italian suppliers, and 62 percent of the orders were awarded by tender.
  • In 2023, a specific training course for non-operational staff and covering the Human Rights Policy took place online.
