areas that we serve and the communities that live there.
One of the key issues for our Group is, in fact, the development of infrastructures for the ecological transition; these infrastructures are of different types, based on the two foundations of our strategic plan: the energy transition and the circular economy.
Over the last few years, in a process of reconversion and renewal, we have taken action to make our facilities safer and state-of-the art, and have invested in activities of material recovery, the closure of the waste cycle and the recovery of dispersed heat for the benefit of district heating.
We have also invested in renewable sources; we rank second in Italy for energy produced from hydroelectric sources and are also starting to accelerate in the field of wind and solar energy.
